We've got a new name - but service is the same! For over 40 years, friends and neighbors alike come for the ultimate in hair care and to catch up on the latest news at the shop.

Join the regulars - at the shop at 102 Chaptoula St. Hours: Tues. 4pm to "whenever," Wed., Thurs. and Fri. from 7am to 4pm and Sat. 6:45 am to 1pm.

Family and husband/wife appointments are common. Walk-ins are welcome, but a call-ahead appointment is appreciated. Just call at: 848-4955.

Karlene, following in the footsteps of her mom, Mary Jane, celebrated her 40th anniversary in the business several years ago. She's delighted that two of her granddaughters and her daughter have joined the profession and will extend their service to the community to the third generation, keeping the tradition in the family.

They cover a wide range of services for women, men, teens and kids, and offer advice on a number of brand name hair care products for sale at the salon.

Looking good is affordable at the Electric Pineapple. Karlene can tame any bad hair day and bring you beauty on a budget.

Lots of patrons, friends and family came to the big Open House on Tuesday, Feb. 12 to help us celebrate our new name: Electric Pineapple - the symbol of welcome for you, both our new and loyal customers. Karlene showed off her favorite color green Electric Pineapple nailpolish that inspired the new shop name. Pineapple themed goodies were on the refreshment table, including pineapple pizza.

Men have always been welcome at the O'Hair Port, but it is becoming more common for men to seek our stylists. But of course, we know how to treat the ladies, too, with styles and techniques to give anyone a great new look or just keep the old one new. Appointments for couples are still popular, too, and spouses are always welcome

Three Generations of Hair Magicians are now at the Electric Pineapple in Bristol Indiana as Janele Boomershine joined the two granddaughters, Morgan and Bethany and their mother/grandmother, Karlene Christensen. Appointments appreciated, but walk-ins welcome. Come find just the right style for you!

Karlene's Mom, Mary Jane Fisher turned 90 in March. Bristol resident since age 9, and beautician for nearly 50 years, she is thrilled to see her granddaughter and 2 great granddaughters join the team to make four generations of beauty magicians from one family serving the Bristol community.
