Karlene, following in the footsteps of her mom, Mary Jane, celebrated her 40th anniversary in the business several years ago. She's delighted that granddaughter Bethany has joined her as they extend their service to the community to the third generation.
They cover a wide range of services for women, men, teens and kids, and offer advice on a number of brand name hair care products for sale at the salon.

Karlene's grandaughter Bethany is expecting her first baby on July 4. So to start the holiday off with a bang, the O'Hair Port held an all-day baby shower for her on the Friday before. Friends and family dropped in for their usual do's or just to drop off a card or gift and wish Bethany well. Beth H. will be coming in to work with Karlene in the meantime until Bethany comes back to work, at least part time. Her other grandaughter Courtney will join the shop in the fall.
Mom and big sister Kylie look on, while Bethany prepares Allyson for her first haircut. Kylie sits with Dad while she waits for Allyson's cut to be done. Stephanie and Bethany chat about the latest styles, while Karlene poses in her favorite spring hat.
Karlene's calling everyone to tell them about her new cut, natural look perm and Redkin Shade EQ color styled by granddaughter, Bethany, who now works with her at the shop. For the latest look, call for an appointment soon at 848-4955.
Bride-to-be Samantha Keeling of Bremen heard about the Bristol O'Hair from a friend, who raved about the marvelous wedding hairdos that Karlene has done. For her wedding to James Morrison, she came with her bridal party to have all their hair done in upswept styles. Members of her party were Maid of Honor Katie Curtis; Matron of Honor Tracey Hittle; Bridesmaids: Danielle Spanihel and Kistina Niere.
