Bristol Business Council

The Bristol Business Council (BBC) of the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce (Elkhart Chamber) promotes the economic welfare of the Bristol, IN area, Elkhart County Indiana and the Michiana Region.

Meeting open to Public

The BBC meets monthly, usually the first Tuesday of the month at 4:00pm. Please contact Denise Polachek at the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce for exact meeting dates and times, or for more information at 574-293-1531 ext. 132. Bristol business owners are encouraged to join.

The Karsyn Bell

The proceeds from the Half Cow Raffle will fund the construction and maintenance of the Karsyn Bell, a children's playground item in the shape of a Pirate Ship at Congdon Park and will honor Karsyn Bell, a brave litle Bristol girl who before she left this earth at age 4, loved playing in the local parks. The River Inn staff initiated the project in 2007, and the BBC and the American Legion have joined to help fund the project. The equipment is on order now and professional installation is planned in October.

BBC Golf Outing

At this year's Bristol Business Council Golf Outing at Raber Golf Course in Bristol, Indiana, member Kerry Smith will wore a skirt and enourage others to do likewise. Called Skirts for a Cause, $25 or more got entrants a skirt to wear for the entire round and the privilege of hitting from the ladies' tee. All Proceeds from the skirts go to the Elkhart County Women's Shelter. Golf proceeds go to fund the on-going activities of the BBC.

The late Karsyn Bell's sister, Kamryn drew the 2 winning names for the half cow raffle in Congdon Park during the Homecoming. The entire Bell family joined representatives of the BBC for the event. The winners were a Bristol lady who prefers to remain anonymous and Dave Michalak of Vandalia, MI.
