Authors & Artists return for 5th time -
This popular event lets the public meet local artists and writers as they demonstrate their talents and sell their latest works. Writers favored history, children's books and adventure tales, while a diversified group of artists displayed such talents as jewelry making, other crafts, photography, paintings and carvings.

Local artist Dawn White doesn't throw rocks, she paints them.


The Purdue rock was made as a paperweight for her daughter in Colorado, a Purdue fan, and she has painted many different kinds, as well as making signs to foster her love for horses.

Director Nick Huffmant was pleased at the large turnout of both exhibitors and visitors at the Sunday afternoon event at the Elkhart County Historical Museum. He has slated a full schedule of events during his first full year in charge, and has a variety planned for all ages and interests. Call him for more details at 574-848-4322.
