Kruse Farm Supply Green Thumb Gang participated in the Annual Audubon Bird Count Day on Dec. 31, 2011 at the store in Bristol, Indiana. Dick Jenks and other friends of the Green Thumb Gang gathered to join in the count.
They counted for a total of 60 minutes through the day and saw Blue Jays, Black-Capped Chickadees, Tufted Titmouse, White-breasted Nuthatch, Song Sparrows, Dark-eyed Junco, Northern Cardinals, Common Grackle, American Goldfinch and House Sparrow: a total of 48 different birds. Now extended to Jan. 2 - 50 pounds of black oil sunflower seeds for $25 - with $20 additional purchase. Don't miss this one: extended through Saturday, Jan. 7, 20% off Bird Feeders and Bird Houses.
Photographer Sophie returned to Kruse's on Saturday Nov. 19 to take the ever-popular Santa and Pets photos - and some kids and Santa photos as well. Jim Manuszak, the guy with the real beard, proudly wore the red suit. Fuzz-Ball the kitten posed in a Santa hat for his first Christmas photo at his new home at Kruse Farm Supply.
