Tea for Senior Queen Candidates
Ann Andre sponsored a tea at the Murphy Guest House for the three local woman who have been nominated for 2010 Senior Queen of the Bristol Homecoming. From left to right are Jill Stoll, Ruth Saupe and Harriet Edwards. Jill has lived in Bristol for 17 years, is retired as a music teacher, likes to knit & read and enjoys the ambiance of a small town. Ruth has lived here 45 years, is a nurse for Dr. Bierline and a substitute nurse for the school system, loves needwork and playing the piano. Harriet has been here 10 years, loves her job at Russell Products and belongs to small animal rescue. Directors of the Pageant, Joann Williams and Andrea Badke also attended the tea.
Family members gathered on Saturday to honor bride-to-be Lindsay Hutchison who will wed Andy Reimink on Aug 21, before settling in Minocqua, Wisconsin. Just a year ago, in May, 2009, bride-to-be Becky Reimink was feted at a bridal luncheon here, as well. Her aunt from Florida found the Murphy Guest House on the Internet, and found it to be the perfect meeting point for family who lived from Florida to Chicago, to Wisconsin. Once again, the ladies of the family came together to enjoy the 1875 dining room and the delightful luncheon prepared by their host, Ann Andre.
Ann and Gary Andre were thrilled to be able to host their own reunion with family members from all over the USA. The oldest attending was Gary Andre's 93-year-old Mother, Rachel Springer from Mechanicsburg, Iowa. The youngest was Kinnick, the baby son of the Andre's youngest son, Stephen and his wife, Kelly Andre.
Everyone gathered around the computer, as Kelly Andre connected by way of Skype to speak with Stephen serving somewhere in Iraq. Adam, the Andre's oldest son and his three daughters, Camryn, Jayme and Jordyn attended, along with Ann's Mother, Helen Hollison and Kelly's Mother, Bonnie Young.
