Congdon: Bristol's Family/Events Park -
and was the third Town park acquired by Bristol in 1987.

The Park was named for Earl Congdon, whose family for three generations owned the Congdon Drug Store in Bristol.

The Park was originally planned to host the Bristol Homecoming, one of the oldest continuing festivals in Indiana. Begun in about 1883, it was originally a Harvest Celebration, held in the fall. In later years, it was held in July, but was changed to June in 2003, and moved to an Earthway Drive location in June, 2004. Many hope to see it return to the downtown area. The Bristol Storytellers Festival is held in the Park each September, and a family movie night and gospel song festivals are scheduled this summer.
