TIFF District will benefit redevelopment
A portion of the property taxes on this land as it is sold and developed is reserved for use to
renovate older properties also located within the district, such as some of the older buildings on State Road 15 South.
Letherman says that a rail-served industrial park will provide positive impact on the local economy as well
as serve as an impetus for implementing the Town's plans for a truck bypass to remove excess traffic from the main street.
Letherman feels that Bristol may well be one of the first areas to recover economically, perhaps later this year.

All aboard: Earthway Rail Park offers benefits to Bristol's economy
Until the railroads came and diverted commerce to other areas, Bristol was a thriving riverport.
However, over the years, lured by an attractive tax base, strong labor market and access to municipal
water and sewer, a number of local manufacturers expanded here, and semi traffic increased on Bristol's main street.
But one of its greatest assets, use of a rail spur that provides direct access
to the tracks that connect Chicago, Cleveland and the Northeast was not tapped for development
Earthway Rail Park, 600 acres with 1.5 miles of Norfolk Southern Line is poised to take advantage of it. Rob Letherman,
Vice President of Northland Corporation and his partner, longtime Bristol businessman, Allan Ludwig, are now in Phase 3
of the development which is located off the existing Earthway Drive to the south of State Highway 120.
