35th Annual Midwest Tandem Rally
Over 450 riders turned out for the Labor Day Weekend event by HOOTs (Hoosiers Out On Tandems), a committee of CIBA (Central Indiana Bicycling Assn.) on their "Back Home Again in Indiana" 35th Annual Midwest Tandem Rally based in Shipshewanna, Indiana.
They stopped for a lunch break at Bonneyville Mill Park, and took time to admire the blossoming Dahlias in the garden there, maintained by the Elkhart Dahlia Society.
Riders came from all over the Midwest, including Jim and Martha Gullo of Voohees, NJ, who find the folks here so friendly that they come all the way from the East Coast just to join in the ride. Mike & Celeste of Lisle, Illinois, look relaxed on their tandem recumbent bike.
The Green family of Ohio stopped by the garden so that Dad and son could take some photos of the blooms, while Mom just enjoyed the beautiful day.
